Fabrication is progressing on the 14.95m Scalloper under construction at Macduff Shipyards. Macduff Ship Design have provided all construction plans and cutting information for this new build.
The company uses the latest in Computer Aided Design (CAD) software packages to produce all their construction, outfit and concept drawings for new builds and conversions. The electronic images can be e-mailed in a variety of formats so minimal time is lost forwarding information to shipyards or owners. Concept designs can be developed into 3-dimensional drawings which can then be used to produce both photo realistic images or video which can add a new dimension to visualisation of the vessel and pre-completion marketing. This approach ensures high levels of accuracy and clarity in all the drawings produced and allows for structural drawings to be developed into detailed designs then onto CNC cutting data.
