Yesterday, July 4th 2012, the shipbuilding contract signed between Astilleros Gondan and Simon Møkster for the construction of the advanced Platform Supply Vessel of UT776WP design by Rolls Royce Marine has came into force.
This will be the second vessel Astilleros Gondan constructs for Simon Møkster. Gondan has previously delivered “Stril Merkur”, a multi field support vessel on schedule and to good quality.
The main dimensions are 92 metres length, 20 metres beam and a deck surface of more than 1000 square metres.
Another important characteristic is the bow design that will enable the vessel to pierce through waves in extreme weather conditions, while maintaining constant speed, reducing fuel consumption and enhancing safety.
The vessel will be delivered during the summer of 2014.
