Iran is going to launch the largest oil tanker manufactured by the country on July 23, reported Azerbaijan’s TREND news agency.
He said that Venezuela ordered 4 Aframax tankers with capacity of 94,000 tons each in 2007 and the shipyard made some changes bringing its capacity to 113,000 tons.
“We have already manufactured one of these tankers and we will launch one of them. It was already tested,” Sadra Shipyard Director Salman Zarbi said.
The length of the tanker is 250 meter, width – 44 meter, height – 21 meter and draught – 14.8 meter. Some 28 percent of the work on the second tanker has been already conducted. Manufacturing of each tanker costs around 57 million euro.
