China: Repaired Bulk Carrier Departs Shipyard

Repaired bulk carrier “Pontotrtion” has departed CIC Changxing Shipyard premises. The vessel is a capsize bulk carrier managed by a Greek shipping company.

The main work scope was the special survey and the treatment of hull & nine cargo holds. In order to ensure the timely delivery and win the owner’s approval, the shipyard paid high attention to the repair project by arranging the capable ship repair team and making a scientific schedule. The yard erected the staging for the cargo hold treatment according to the actual sandblasting area.

It shortened the time of the staging erection and reduced the cost comparing with the normal full erection of the staging.
