China: Tianjin Xingang Completes Repair Works on MV “TIAN REN”

Tianjin Xingang Shipbuilding Heavy Industry CO workers have recently reconditioned M/E defects of M/V “TIAN REN”.

Each one fastening bolt of 2# cylinder head of M/E (P)(9PC-40L) and 3# cylinder head of M/E (S) were respectively broken, and the Shiprepair Yard got the task on 9th June. In order to ensure M/V “TIAN REN” sailing on schedule, More than 20 persons, including lifting workers, fitters and welders etc. started to work at 20:00 o’clock on the weekend. The broken bolt surface of 3# cylinder of M/E(S) formed 45º incline. We finally took out the inclined broken bolt by 8 hours hard working.

With continuous 18 hours working, both broken bolts were successfully renewed at 14:00 o’clock on 10th June. M/V “TIAN REN” sails from the port on schedule. Owner highly appraised for our sincere service and efficient work.
